New York Fashion Week 2014 Report: Day 8: J. Mendel

The show must go on! That must have been the motto for the final day of New York Fashion Week 2014, since the city was being pounded by blizzard conditions and yet the Fall/Winter collections from many famous designers still made it down the runway.  The luxurious line of jewel-toned fur and evening wear from J. Mendel warmed the frigid day in NYC.

J. Mendel Teal Blue Gown

A light and modern look to the Grecian inspired style that has become so popular make this blue gown fresh and fun.  It has plenty of fun and flowy movement but still has a simple ease about it.

J. Mendel Deep Blue Fur Coat

An emerald hued fur coat with leather accents gave this chic look and edgy feel. Meant to be ultra warm and extremely stylish, this outerwear look is perfect urban sophistication.

J Mendel Green Gown

Pleated chiffon, beaded tulle inserts, and a layered design make this a-symmetrical gown one of my favorite looks.  With so much detail, the black accents keep the clean lines and effortless feel of the collection.

A rich color palette and gorgeous fabrics are no surprise coming from designer, Gilles Mendel but this Fall 2014 line is exceptionally stunning.  Inspired by the Ballets Russes, Mendel made quite a statement this year and proves that red carpet worth looks are here to stay.

Love your coverage of NYFW. It’s been fun to read your reviews instead of the major fashion outlets.
