4 Romantic Gestures from Man to Woman

Nothing makes a woman love her boyfriend or husband more than when he goes the extra mile – and beyond – to surprise her with a romantic gesture from the heart. Be it a hassle-free no-brainer or something that requires a lot of thought, preparation and work, the gestures men do for their women are guaranteed to be etched in their ladies’ minds for a long time to come. So even if it’s just a simple household chore you can assume to make her daily life easier, just go do it! Little gestures like that will continue to remind her exactly what a keeper you are.

Romantic Gestures

High school honors student James Tate is barred from attending prom last June because of the unique – and very romantic – way in which he asks his intended date Sonali Rodrigues, namely, by taping giant letters on the side of his school building with the help of friends. The headmaster suspended him and his friends for this gutsy yet harmless action, which left him both without a date and an invitation to the prom, much to everyone’s chagrin.

One man prepares to propose to his girlfriend (who is taking a bath in their hotel bathroom) by making a rose petal trail from the bathroom to their bed and the centerpiece, the artistic formation of a heart on the bed enclosing an engagement ring in a ring box. According to him, it took him ten hours to arrange this petal path and he compensated his maid(s) for the heavy-duty cleanup they had to do by leaving them a hefty tip. We think this man is a definite keeper!

Funnyman Steve Carell reveals a simple yet romantic gesture he does for his wife: unloading the dishwasher for her. He notes that it need not be the grand, over-the-top actions that sweep his wife off her feet – merely unloading the dishwasher earns him an abundance of brownie points.

Actor Josh Duhamel says the most romantic thing he’s ever done for a woman was make her a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (presumably for his wife Fergie as this interview was done at the time of the premiere of his 2010 romantic comedy, “When In Rome”). It’s frequently said that the fastest way to a woman’s heart is through her stomach, so we think that’s a smart move (no matter how simple)!
